SONIC CLEANSING & WHY IT'S A THING

Foreo Luna Mini review by the weekend wild

Cleansing has always been the most important part of my routine. My skin has changed a lot over the years, going from acne-prone to oil slick, back to dehydrated and oily, and it's now settled somewhere in the normal/combination zone. I clean my skin morning and night religiously, switching up products to suit my needs as the seasons change.

I've always stared adoringly at products like the Clarisonic, promising to clean your skin deep down, taking away all impurities and makeup and promising a life of clear skin. I'm not sure how necessary these products are, but after years of waiting and finding a good sale on the Foreo Luna Mini, I decided to take a shot at the sonic cleansing device.

DOUBLE THE LIP

Benefit Cosmetics Double the Lip in Lusty Rose

One of Benefit Cosmetics' latest offerings is the They're Real Double the Lip lipstick & liner duo. Aimed at creating fuller-looking lips in a single swipe, these are a two-in-one product to add to a minimal makeup collection. I picked up my sample-sized Double the Lip in a recent issue of Elle Australia, and am glad to have tried this cute colour, Lusty Rose.

BONDI SANDS - THE FOAM

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark

If you have ever fake tanned before, odds are that you've heard of or even used Bondi Sands products. This post is a revamped version of an older review featuring the Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam. To sum it up, I'm still using this product years later, and it still is amazing.

ANTHEIA EXPRESS FAKE TAN REMOVER

If you've read my blog before you will know, I use a lot of fake tan! I trial lots of brands and formulas, but a much rarer find is a product that removes tan with ease. I've never really known of any products that remove fake tan, so when the opportunity to try Antheia came up, I knew I had to take it. Typically I remove my fake tan with a long soak in the bath and a rough scrub with an exfoliating mitt or face-cloth. This isn't always ideal as it can be harsh on my skin and requires loads of moisturising afterwards. This also means I can't tan again immediately, usually I need to wait a day or two.

GROWN ALCHEMIST - A TREAT FOR WINTER

When winter hits, my skin turns into a dry, flaky mess. It's the season where I can't really afford to get lazy and stop moisturising, particularly after hot showers. Usually I rotate my body moisturisers, just trying whatever bottle takes my fancy. I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful product from Activeskin just a few weeks ago: the Grown Alchemist Body Cream in the Mandarin and Rosemary Leaf scent.
