AUSTRALIS METALLIX

Talk about metallic! Australis have released a whole load of pretty eyeshadows after their first metallic range did so well. I picked these up because I had to see what all the hype was about, especially after seeing Chloe Morello's video tutorial. These are some awesome cream/gel eyeshadows that pack a real punch with pigment and foil-effect. Check out my swatches below!

I have the shades Gold Gaga (light coppery-gold), Jay Zed (gold-olive green) and Plumdiddy (deep plummy brown). Cute names aside, these shadows have great pigmentation and formula. They swirl in the pots and  are easily picked up on the brush to apply to the lid. The texture is light and gel-like, so it spreads and blends really well. You can pack a thickish coat on over the lid to get full opacity (like in the swatches above), or pick up a little on the brush and pat it over any neutral eyeshadows. I like using a bit of Gold Gaga over the lid sparingly to add a bit of shimmer.

I didn't experience any transfer around the lids and because these are cream shadows, you won't experience any fall-out like with powder shadows. I found them to last really well for as long as I've worn them (around 4 hours). If you love a good dramatic eye, you need these in your life! Pick them up from Australis stockists or online for only $8.95 each!

Will you be picking up the Metallix shadows?

  4. These look stunning! Jay Zed is definitely a shade I would pick up. I like that they are gel and not cream, I find cream products (like the Maybelline Colour Tattoos) difficult to work with.

  10. I totally agree with you Paulaena. I didn't really like the Maybelline Colour Tattoos because they didn't seem to blend nicely but didn't create much opacity either. These ones are much better for me! X

  11. Definitely do Kat! Even if you just swatch to check out the crazy pigmentation... I'm sure you'll be impressed! X

  12. Me either, until I saw Chloe Morello use them in a video! I am super impressed, and the quality is consistent through all the shades too! X

  13. The Colour Tattoos are so hyped up by a lot of bloggers and Youtubers but I really didn't see it! It just dragged on my eyelids and I couldn't find the right way to apply it. It was a bit frustrating seeing as I seemed to be the only one who didn't like them at all, until now!
