Grown Alchemist Body Cream: A Treat for Winter

When winter hits, my skin turns into a dry, flaky mess. It's the season where I can't really afford to get lazy and stop moisturising, particularly after hot showers. Usually I rotate my body moisturisers, just trying whatever bottle takes my fancy. I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful product from Activeskin just a few weeks ago: the Grown Alchemist Body Cream in the Mandarin and Rosemary Leaf scent.

I'd never tried anything from Grown Alchemist before, but have been pleasantly surprised after trying out a selection of products. They have a range of organic products with beautiful botanical scents and ingredients, and the Body Cream is no exception! This is a thick, creamy moisturiser that sinks into the skin incredibly easy (or maybe just because my skin is so dehydrated!) with minimal rubbing.

Mostly, I love the subtle scent of this cream! For those that are sensitive to fragrance, this one is a total winner. It has a subtle botanical scent, and you can just make out hints of the citrus. I couldn't pick up much rosemary, but overall it's a very pretty, fresh scent that doesn't linger on the skin. The cream contains a whole lot of beautiful oils, including rosehip, jojoba and macadamia seed oil for a super intense hydration experience.

I think you'll either love or hate the simplistic packaging from Grown Alchemist. Many products come in an aluminium squeezy tube, which can make things a bit difficult when squeezing out what's left of a product. I personally love the easy, minimalist feel of the packaging, they look better the more you squish them, and look a bit rustic on dressers and shelves.

If you're keen to try this beauty for winter, you can pick one up from Activeskin for around the $24 mark.
